Oregon Cider Week 2014

Thursday 19th, 8-10 pm
Cider Appreciation Class

Rev Nat walks you through 25+ ciders from around the world. Regions include England, France, Spain (Basque and Asturias), New Zealand, Germany, Eastern US and Western US. Saturday 21st 9-11 pm
Spaceballs, Sizzle Pie and Cider
Venue: Reverend Nat’s Cidery & Public Taproom
After the Portland Cider Summit, drink more Rev Nat’s cider, eat awesome pizza from Sizzle Pie (“Death to False Pizza”) and watch the 1987 classic spoof movie Spaceballs. $10 entry at the door gets you all the pizza you can eat and a folding chair in front of the projector. The show starts promptly at 9 pm.

Sunday 22nd 12-5pm
Portland Int’l Cider Cup
Venue: Reverend Nat’s Cidery & Public Taproom
This privately judged cider competition is not open to the public but our taproom will be!

Monday 23rd 6-9 pm
Cidermaker’s Dinner at Gracie’s
Venue: Gracie’s at Hotel DeLuxe, 729 SW 15th Ave, Portland, OR 97205, 503-222-2171
Multi-course dinner with paired ciders along the way and Rev Nat in attendance for a bit of education, a bit of fun and a lot of delicious food. Advance ticket purchase required, call the restaurant for reservations.

Tuesday 24th 5-10 pm
Sausage, Beards and Tattoos Fest!
Venue: Reverend Nat’s Cidery & Public Taproom
$15 at the door gets you one big Otto’s sausage on a bun (pork or chicken, lots of condiments, plenty of chips) and two drink tokens. Attendees with big beards and big tattoos (the definition of “big” in both cases is solely up to Nat) get an additional drink token. Hint: If the beard is shorter than Nat’s and the tattoo isn’t at least half sleeve, it’s not “big”.

Wednesday 25th 4 pm – 2:30 am
C Bar Tap Takeover
Venue: C Bar, 2880 SE Gladstone St, Portland, OR 97202, (503) 230-8808
Join the Rev Nat’s crew at this SE Gladstone institution for all cider, all night long. At least half of the 20 taps will be pouring ciders and as always, great pub fare coming from the kitchen.

OMSI After Dark
Drink ciders from lots of NW producers.

Thursday 26th 7-9 pm
Venue: Reverend Nat’s Cidery & Public Taproom
Cider & Quiz Night: “Saints & Sinners”
Quizzical Empire Molly, host of Quizissippi and Quizavesa and massive cider fan, shows us the face of good and evil. $10 entry fee per team of up to six people.

Friday 27th, 6-10 pm
English and French Cider Experience
Venue: Bushwhacker Cider, 1212-D SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97202, (503) 445-0577
Bushwhacker and Rev Nat’s team up. Portland Brewvana chartered bus picks up punters at Bushwhacker at 6 pm sharp, enjoy a can of Cascadia en route to Rev Nat’s Public Taproom where Nat guides you through five dank, dark, barnyardy English ciders. Hop on the bus and back to Bushwhacker where Jeff guides you through five fruity, sweet, funky French ciders. One native cheese at each stop curated by Steve Jones of Cheese Bar. Rev Nat’s Public Taproom 1 Year Anniversary

Free pizza, cider specials and rare drinks from the cellar as we debut our new extended taproom hours and new 12-tap cider keg cooler featuring our favorite ciders from other Northwest producers.
